TBS has renewed "American Dad" for two more seasons. The network made the announcement on Thursday, January 11th at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
The series has been on TBS since 2014. Before that it was on Fox where it debuted in 2005. Season 15 had a one episode special that aired on Christmas, the weekly schedule starts on February 12th at 10 pm.
Brett Weitz, executive vice president of programming for TBS, said "Animation has played a huge role in making us the #1 comedy network". He continued "We will keep the momentum going with the two season pick up of 'American Dad' and finally introducing the world to the brilliantly constructed misadventures of Gary in 'Final Space'."
Monday Night Animation: Introducing Final Space
On February 26th TBS will be debuting the new animated comedy "Final Space". "Final Space" will be on at 10:30 pm on Monday's, right after "American Dad" completing an hour-long animation block.
"Final Space" is a show that follows a spaceman named Gary who makes a new alien friend named Mooncake. Gay is working off a prison sentence. Mooncake is, much to Gary's surprise, wanted by the sinister Lord Commander whom wants to use Mooncake's powers for evil.
